Michelle Heaton Discusses Menopause Supplements
Popstar and TV personality Michelle Heaton spoke out on World Menopause Day yesterday (Thursday 18th October) about her experiences of going through early menopause, and how she takes food supplements for menopause symptom relief.
Michelle had a double mastectomy and hysterectomy at the age of 34, after finding out she had the BRCA2 gene, meaning she had an 80 per cent risk of developing breast cancer, and a 30 per cent risk of being diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
A hysterectomy induces surgical menopause at whatever age the procedure is carried out and Michelle has since been experiencing menopause symptoms, writing a book about her experiences, titled Hot Flush: Motherhood, the Menopause and Me.
Michelle spent World Menopause Day 2018 speaking about her experiences of going through menopause at a young age across radio, on Loose Women and on Sky News’ The Kay Burley Show.
During these interviews, Michelle explained that she uses food supplements to help manage her menopause symptoms, mentioning on The Kay Burley Show that Femarelle® - one of the supplements we stock at Menopause Supplements - is a great over-the-counter choice.
Many women turn to menopause supplements as an alternative to HRT or herbal remedies, and Femarelle® contains the soy derivative DT56a, which has been linked to reducing menopause symptoms including hot flushes and mood swings, as well as to maintaining healthy hair and skin.
There are three options to choose from, depending on the stage of menopause you’re in and the type of menopause symptoms you’re experiencing; Femarelle® Rejuvenate, Femarelle® Recharge and Femarelle® Unstoppable.
Menopause supplements can fit easily into your life and help you to carry on feeling like the best version of yourself. Shop Femarelle® products here.
